NZFW Begins!

Today, New Zealand Fashion Week begins. 

It will kick off tonight with the first showing of the designer selection show (a show of selected outfits from a huge range of designers that is repeated once a day), followed by the opening party for media, celebs, VIP guests etc. 

I received my backstage passes yesterday and am gearing myself up for a full-on week! Tonight's show should be a great little teaser to get everyone in the mood 

Tomorrow kicks off the first day of back to back individual designer shows, with Twentysevennames to open.

NZFW Model Casting!

With only a few weeks to go until New Zealand showcases its talent on the runway, the model casting for NZFW was held in the BMW building in Auckland.

Street style photography blog Four Eyes covered the event, capturing both fresh and familiar faces as designers took their pick.

NZFW 13 Designers Announced

The eagerly awaited New Zealand Fashion Week designer line-up was finally released yesterday, Sunday 11th August for the upcoming fashion festival and weekend. Only three weeks away, this years fashion week has had an overhaul and stepped up to the plate with some significant international names to top off the list.

This years fashion week is shorter, with only three days of trade and media shows and events, followed by a few days of consumer-driven events. 53 designers make up a combination of the entire week, some of which combining into group shows such as the NZ Weddings show. A number of smaller, edgier labels have made their way in, which will hopefully bring attention to fresh talent from around the country.
